Different kinds of leisure activities for children and young people
In the municipalities, there are usually leisure centers for young people between 12 and 16 years of age. There may also be recreation centers for older youth. At the leisure center there is the opportunity to, for example, watch movies and meet friends.
In addition to recreational facilities, many municipalities have special investments for young people. Sports associations are important for many children and young people in Sweden. There they can practice various sports such asfor example football, horse riding or swimming.

The cultural school gives children and young people the opportunity to participate in artistic and cultural activities after school.In the cultural school, children can, among other things, learn to play musical instruments, sing, dance, play theater and engage in activitiesate various art forms after school.
Every municipality has a library
The library is open to everyone.The library has books for children and adults in various languages, newspapers, magazines, language courses,social information, music, film, computers, etc. It costs nothing to borrow books from the library. To borrowbooks, a library card is needed. The loan card is free. The loan period is usually 4 weeks, but can be shorter,check your receipt!
Association life for children and young people
There are many associations and clubs in Sweden for all possible interests. sports clubs, film clubs, theater societies, gaming societies, scouts, ethnic societies, associations for outdoor life, photography societiesand much more. By being part of an association, you get to do something you find fun. There you also get to know others who have the same interest.
